London bombers were all British. Most likely from the Leeds/Bradford area.

Tom Cruise Not Welcome in Paris
Paris has pledged not to make US actor Tom Cruise an honorary citizen because of his Church of Scientology membership. Something to do with Scientology being nothing more than a militant cult…

The Golden Bear
Jack Nicklaus is to be honoured by having his image printed on a Scottish £5 note. The American is only the third person after the Queen and Queen Mother to be honoured this way in their lifetime.

Freaking Typical…
Just my luck, the one time Robert Scoble is heading to Atlanta (during my readership anyways), I’m heading to Nashville, TN. to see Weezer and Ben Folds…
Just typical.

Danny Way Jumps The Great Wall of China
Skateboarder Danny Way becomes the first person to jump The Great Wall of China without motorized assistance, a feat he accomplished an incredible five times in front of Chinese dignitaries, officials, friends, family, the world media and thousands of spectators. To top it off, he added a few 360°’s in there too…

eBike
Robyn brought home a funky little electric bicycle today that she got for about $1,000 less than it’s marked price thanks to an eBay auction, it’s an eBike and it is indeed a funky little piece of machinery…
Basically it’s a bike, same as it’s always been since they were invented, you pedal around but if you need a boost, or if you need help going uphill, or you want to burnout at the lights or if you’re just plain lazy, you can flick a switch and you have battery assisted power to get you where you want to go, and if you’re supremely lazy like me, it even has cruise control… Seriously, who needs to pedal ever again? Not me for one…
It can apparently go as fast as 14mph on battery power alone, which isn’t terribly fast, per se, but fast enough to give you a nice little thrill. I wasn’t so sure about it at first, but after playing around with it by doing laps of the parking lot, I think it’s pretty badass!
Highly recommended if you have the inclination.

He Got Served!
London was the scene of carnage on Thursday after a series of deadly blasts but American R&B crooner Omarion, who suffered no injury or inconvenience, wants people to pray for him. Asked why anyone should pray for him, his publicist Shana Gilmore said, “He wasn’t hurt or anything, but just the fact that he was there and all that.” That fool just got served!

K2 Alpha
Michael Heilemann drops the K2 WordPress template on an unsuspecting world. I’ve had a little poke around with it and it has some very nice features, but beware, it is an alpha release and should be treated as such…

A Letter to the Terrorists
Now, this really explains the differences between New York City on 9/11 and London on 7/7 (thank god for small favours, at least the Americans can’t screw with the date scheme).
A Letter To The Terrorists, From London
What the fuck do you think you’re doing?
This is London. We’ve dealt with your sort before. You don’t try and pull this on us.
Do you have any idea how many times our city has been attacked? Whatever you’re trying to do, it’s not going to work.
All you’ve done is end some of our lives, and ruin some more. How is that going to help you? You don’t get rewarded for this kind of crap.
And if, as your MO indicates, you’re an al-Qaeda group, then you’re out of your tiny minds.
Because if this is a message to Tony Blair, we’ve got news for you. We don’t much like our government ourselves, or what they do in our name. But, listen very clearly. We’ll deal with that ourselves. We’re London, and we’ve got our own way of doing things, and it doesn’t involve tossing bombs around where innocent people are going about their lives.
And that’s because we’re better than you. Everyone is better than you. Our city works. We rather like it. And we’re going to go about our lives. We’re going to take care of the lives you ruined. And then we’re going to work. And we’re going down the pub.
So you can pack up your bombs, put them in your arseholes, and get the fuck out of our city.
“We’re going to take care of the lives you ruined. And then we’re going to work. And we’re going down the pub,” as someone who briefly lived in London (within walking distance of Liverpool Street Station, a walk I done on many occassions actually) I’ll simply say “nuff said”…

Flickr US?
In the last hour or so, it appears that Flickr has altered their URL slightly to http://www-us.flickr.com/…
I have absolutely no idea what it means, but I’m guessing it’s a temporary thing due to the data center move happening today but according to Caterina, it’s already happened, or possibly only just begun…
Time will tell…
