Memory Lane
For some reason I decide to upload some older photographs to Flickr tonight… It’s almost been 3 years since I joined Flickr (Monday 26th July, 2004, which I guess makes me old skool proper) and the period of time before that is sorely lacking. So I’m uploading old event and travel photographs in stages.
First stage includes:
I’m not even sure if there will be a second or possibly third stage, right now I’m just enjoying some old memories back in my mis-spent youth. Hard to believe that some of these are 6½ years old, seems like yesterday.

Mob Justice?
An angry Texas crowd has beaten and killed a 40-year-old car passenger after a driver injured a young girl near the site of a busy local festival. Police said the driver of the car stopped to check on the health of the girl, said to be aged three or four. But when the passenger got out to see how she was, he was set upon by a group of up to 20 people before being left lying in a car park. Wow, unreal.

U2? The Beatles? Nirvana? All Overrated!
Every band you’ve ever worshiped is overrated. Even U2, even Nirvana, hell, even The Beatles… They all blow and here’s why.

Lewis Hamilton Wins Again!
Lewis Hamilton produced yet another incredible display to claim his second straight win in a McLaren one-two at the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis. This kid could be the real deal… But I can’t help but wonder if he’d be doing this in a Super Aguri Honda as opposed to a McLaren Mercedes.

Up Top
As you know, I recently turned 29 and I’ve been semi-comfortable with my balding head for the last two or so years. But recently things have taken a turn for the worse… On Wednesday night Robyn had to pluck grey hairs from the sides of my head. As an aside, I should note I’m not the only person in the house turning grey, we’ve noticed grey patches behind Charlotte’s ears, she feels my pain of turning grey before our time.
So now, at Robyn’s behest, I’m gonna try to keep my head like a phrenologist’s wet dream. I’m not going as far as taking the old Gillette to it, but short enough that it’s not noticeable that it’s balding and greying. I’m still kinda sad that it’s come to this, but at least I outlasted both my dad and brother in the hair stakes.
I guess one bonus is I’ll be kinda cool up top now the hot summer months are approaching, and I’ll save a ton in shampoo costs as I use less than a new born baby.

The Numbers Game
Now that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has sealed his future for the next five years with Hendrick Motorsports beginning next season, there are other issues on the table, for instance, will he be able to take the Number 8 with him from Dale Earnnhardt Inc.? Earnhardt and the Number. 8 have been linked since he entered the Nextel Cup series in 1999.

NBA Finals
AKA: NBA Finalzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…
I’m watching game 3 of the NBA Finals between Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs and I’m not afraid to say that I’m bored to tears…
Seriously, 3½ minutes to go and it looks like a college hoops score, brick city man, brick city. This entire series has been painful to watch, and if San Antonio win this game, I foresee nobody watching game 4. I certainly won’t.
Actually, now with 10.4 seconds left, it’s a 3 point game and the Cavs have the ball, there might be a slither of hope left, but the way these teams have been shooting, I wouldn’t bet on it.
Nah, Spurs win 75-72, Lebron James had a chance and almost hit it! Looks like he was fouled too. Good finish to an ugly, ugly game.

Safari for Windows
Today Apple released a public beta of Safari for Windows.
About Safari 3 Public Beta
Safari has always been the fastest browser on the Mac and now it’s the fastest browser on Windows, loading and drawing web pages up to twice as fast as Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and up to 1.6 times faster than Mozilla Firefox 2.Great, another browser to code specially for… I’ve lost count of the amount now, life as a designer/coder is fun, fun, fun!
EDIT (7:10pm): Well, it’s helped me fix one bug on my site already, the width of the comment field is now a bit more uniform, I never even knew it was broken for the last 15 months…

Lewis Hamilton Wins in Canada
Lewis Hamilton drove a copybook race to win the Canadian Grand Prix and take his first Formula One victory in only the sixth race of his career. His victory puts him into an eight-point championship lead over reigning two-time champion, and team-mate, Fernando Alonso and strengthens the astonishing prospect of him winning the title in his first season.
