Looks like Yahoo is throwing one of their typical hissy fits at people, like myself, who use third party Instant Messenger clients like Trillian Pro to access their Instant Messenger service…

In the 2 years I’ve been using various Trillian incarnations, it’s always Yahoo who keep screwing things about. I found out from Neil Turner that Cerulean Studio’s (makers of Trillian) are aware of this issue, lets hope they can resolve it soon enough, not that I use Yahoo IM that much, maybe for like 2 or 3 people at most… That’s not the point, it’s the principle, the principle of refusing to download the Yahoo IM client.

Add the recent swathe of Yahoo member culls and it’s not been a good week for Yahoo at all, though the 100mb mailbox looked promising…

Update (12:37 pm): Problem resolved

As the little thing below this post shows, I’ve got my linklog working, and, as it also says, it was all down to Matthew Mullenweg posting his index.php in the WordPress wiki for me, and anyone else for that matter, to dissect for my own uses.

How is it done? Well simply, it’s just another category that been told to be displayed differently from the rest… I also exluded the category from being shown at the sidebar so I could add the link up top, so job done (almost), now I just need to find a suitable image to change the list bullet point to and mess with a few CSS settings… But as it’s 2:30am almost, and that’s a job for another day… Along with the permalinks change.
