Gary Payton returns to the Boston Celtics, a week after they traded him to the Atlanta Hawks. He didn’t play for Atlanta and then signed waivers and became a free agent, he then resigned for Boston so the Celtics basically got Antoine Walker for free… Plus Payton takes a substantial pay cut along the way. Bizarre but true…
