Canvasing

A funny thing happened during the Super Bowl pre-pre-pre game show, no not the Paula Abdul “performance”, something else, something unexpected. I, your resident former illegal alien tuned legal permanent resident, was rudely interrupted, this was during the pre-pre-pre game show mind, by a knock on the door by the street team of Ron Paul.

Now I’d assume this was a last minute push to drum up voters for Super Tuesday, but the NC primary isnt till early May, May 6th to be precise. And the real kicker is this:

I can’t even vote!

Of course I was quick to let them know this, after all the pre-pre-pre game show was on, but now I wish I had wasted a good portion of their time before dropping that particular bomb.

Election year, my first year in this country was an election year and now it has found my front door. So now I’ve decided that should I ever end up becoming a citizen, or if they want to sway Robyn’s vote, they need to do something for me. None of this health care/tax breaks/whatever is on their manifesto, fix my toilet! Want our vote? Manual labour, and not the street team, I want Hillary or Obama, hell, even Huckabee to go door to door like D.C. mayor Adrian Fenty did in 2006…
