Today Apple released a public beta of Safari for Windows.
About Safari 3 Public Beta
Safari has always been the fastest browser on the Mac and now it’s the fastest browser on Windows, loading and drawing web pages up to twice as fast as Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and up to 1.6 times faster than Mozilla Firefox 2.
Great, another browser to code specially for… I’ve lost count of the amount now, life as a designer/coder is fun, fun, fun!
EDIT (7:10pm): Well, it’s helped me fix one bug on my site already, the width of the comment field is now a bit more uniform, I never even knew it was broken for the last 15 months…

i don’t know. since we already support Safari, this just makes it easier for me to debug Safari bugs. i like it.
Yeah, but you guys are Turner, multinational conglomerate no? I work for a small 9 person design studio, we don’t support Safari, but now we’ll (meaning I’ll) probably have to.
I’ve only supported Safari at one job, and that’s was because I was using a Mac.
true.
i just like it because now i don’t have to go talk to the Mac weirdos to see how something looks/works in Safari. thanks for providing the link.
That’s what I’m here for, providing a service
Safari’s actually quite well-behaved when it comes to web pages, especially the new version 3 beta. On the whole, if it works in Firefox it’ll work in Safari – Apple poached a couple of the Firefox developers to help with Safari a few years ago.
I suppose that cuts down the list of software which can only run on a Mac now…
I’m quite lucky, we “force” our clients into one browser, basically saying “use this for the site, it’s designed for it’s features”, then if they don’t use it, we just point at the browser and say “we told you to use this browser, that’s why your site is broken, now listen to us”. The company bullies clients like that. :D
