So yeah, after nearly 12 whole months of unemployment, I’ve finally managed to bag me one of them dang jobs things people go on about so much, so as of Wednesday I’ll be working for a little design and marketing studio close to Midtown Atlanta. I know 12 months sounds bad, but really, it’s only been a little over 2 since I could actually work legally, just for a little perspective. I guess it also acts as a big “neeeneeer” to those who thought this day would never come (me being one of them).
So everything is coming together just nicely over these last 2 months and Robyn and I couldn’t be happier, and now she can semi-relax as she doesnt have to worry about supporting us anymore. The only big hoop left for us to jump through is the final residency interview on Thursday, and by all accounts that should be nothing more than a formality. I’m still amazed at how quickly this is all happening, considering when we made the applications in January/February, we were told this could take as long as 18 months to 2 years…
I guess you could say life is good right now.

Hell yeah Greg! Congrats on the new job.
The only bad thing I see is no more sleeping until noon.
Yeah, I’ll certainly miss the crack of noon….
Woo Hoo! Another welcome member to the brotherhood – where we smile and “thank you sir may I have another” with each paycheck signed by The Man.
Congrats!
Woot! Midtown at that!
Well done fella !
Now stop being lazy and do some work :)
Well, not exactly Midtown ming… It’s more in the Briarcliff area, but if I said Briarcliff to out of towners like my family they wouldnt know where the hell that was, at least they might have an inkling about Midtown
