The original unaltered Star Wars Trilogy is to be released on DVD this September. Yay for no dodgy Jabba scene, Han shooting first and an assortment of bad special effects (orange blob under Luke’s speeder anyone?). Just like the old days…

You see I am in the movie and get killed off by Han Solo and as such I have never seen it. But the question is…….. Are these the same versions that were released on video on a widescreen format about 10 years ago, before the “special editions” were introduced??
I believe they are the long lost, supposedly deleted version we got on video many moons ago before the 20th anniversary special editions came out.
My sisters gave me the Star Wars trilogy on videotape that had the interspersed new footage, but I never moved on to dvd because I didn’t want to bother. I think I might spring for this when it comes out, and I’m going to pretend the other three movies never happened.
What like “Ye Olde” specials from Craig McIlhenny?? Subliminally I learned Arabic when I was 6 or 7
Best not mention that around here….
on the vhs the beginning crawl it has episode iv a new hope unlike the dvds
