Netflix Throttling

Yes, Netflix throttling is in full effect here, thankfully an abundance of TiVo’d programmes has made me nearly forget about the small (read 16 items) queue I had waiting for me…

Before you say, wow, they’re throttling you with that small queue? I share it with Robyn who has a bajillion items in her queue and only 3 movies at home… We usually get 5 at a time, 4 for her and 1 for me (I’m not really a big DVD watcher really). Still my last one was Robots, that was sent back on January 30th.

I just want to see the Corpse Bride dammit!

Wow, they won’t even send it to you?? Usually, they just put “long wait” or whatever, but yours even says available now!!! If I were you, I would totally email them and threaten to quit; I have heard that works!

I had been complaining about Netflix Throttling months ago, and I still think that switching to Blockbuster’s in-store Movie Pass ($25 for 2 DVDs) is a MUCH better deal – at least you can return to the store and grab a couple of new DVDs as often as you want, and during one week I went through 6 DVDs per day, that totalled to over 30 movies in a week. Try doing THAT with Netflix!
