I was rudely reminded by the Atlanta Metroblog that this weekend is the weekend of my much hated Stone Mountain Highland Games…
Now I was dragged there last year by Robyn and I’ll just say I was completely disgusted by it (which is putting it nicely), despite her insistance that I’d love it cause I’m Scottish. Thank god she can’t drag me to this years one as we are going to Charlotte this weekend to see her sister, seriously, I’m so thankful I dodged that silver bullet.
To put things in perspective here, here is me at last years shindig…
This cries out for a caption contest…

Caption One…….
Kilt Boy (A) says “Hey aren’t there a few weird looking folk here this year?”
Kilt Boy (B) says “Yeah look at the boy over there with the Red Hat. He says he is from Scatland or Scotchlund, what a joker he must be!!”
I’m sure Stone Mtn’s shindig is rough on you. But if you want some REEEEAAALL torture come down to Culloden’s annual event.
Kilt Boy (A): Howdy there! Purty day, ain’t it? You from these here parts or ya frum somewheres else?
Kilt Boy (B): Well, I reckin’ I ain’t no Brit, but I am frum McDonough. That there’s Scottish, ain’t it?
Kilt Boy (A): I reckon yer right!
Kilt Boy (B): Well, golllll-ee! Look at that feller over thar! He ain’t impressed by us kilt-wearin’ folk.
Kilt Boy (A): He must be sum yankee city slicker type.
Ok Robyn wins……… Much better attempt than me.
