Elektra

Phil and I went to see Elektra tonight, and so did most of Cumming judging by how busy the movie theater was… And we walked away thinking it was decidedly average.

Elektra

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not as bad as most people would have you believe, but it’s not the best comic book adaptation, not by a long, looooooooooooooooooooong way. Anyways, it’s a few years removed from the events of Daredevil, Elektra (Jennifer Garner) is back from the dead and now an assassin for hire, and her next assignment forces her to make a decision that throws her into a battle between the forces of good and evil…

Now, for a 95 minute long film, it’s really quite slow in places, and some of the deaths Elektra dispences can only be described as cheap. There are inconsistances with the comic books, as Phil was quick to tell me, and it’s probably best watched as a rental.

The only saving graces are Stick (Terrence Stamp) playing pool and the red outfit Elektra wears (see above), as I said, decidedly average…
