She walked through her dance moves with little enthusiasm. It appeared she had forgotten the entire art of lip-synching. And, perhaps most unforgivable given her once-taut frame, she looked embarrassingly out of shape. Even the celebrity-studded audience seemed bewildered. 50 Cent looked at Spears with a confused expression; Diddy, her new best friend, was expressionless. Some comeback.” Comedy GOLD!
Out of shape? Seriously. That is WHY girls and boys suffer from eating disorders in this country. Fuck that shit. That makes me angry.
Couldn’t agree more Duane. She wasn’t super hot Britney in her prime, but she wasn’t exactly out of shape. She gets in shape from performing and dancing. She will come back, I am certain of it. She needs to get that album out. With a few hits, she will begin touring again and will be back to normal. Sarah Silverman is a cowardly bitch. She took aim at Britney on the night when she was coming back into the spotlight. Didn’t think she was really that funny either. She is part of the issue with the VMAs. The other part of the problem is that MTV has largely gotten away from MUSIC. They show mostly stupid real-life type shows. When MTV started, it was 100% music videos. You would be hard pressed to find any music on that channel anymore. How can anyone take video awards seriously from a channel like that? Next year it could be the CNN VMAs. MTV needs to dump the crappy shows and start showing more music videos.
She had all her talent on display. She`s a glorified pole dancer with no singing abilities, and danced like Yogi Bear on Quayludes. Train wreck? No, fat disgusting train wreck is more like it.
Ever since Britney came out with her first album I always thought in the back of my mind “man she’s hot, but she has no talent”. That might seem kind of a premonition but it sure came true. She to me was nothing but white trash and honestly I thought she would do better in porno’s. I always knew she lip-synced (as most “stars” do nowadays) and her dancing ability is mediocre. Admit it, the only thing that got her into those mickey mouse club spots were her fathers insistence and connections. I’m not putting her down (because I still think she’s hot and still has a chance for porno) but deep down I have no sympathy for her. Sorry brit, but I’ll still date you. My future prediction… She will end up marrying a man at least 20 years older than her. (for money or fame of course) Won’t he be happy. All’s well that ends well.
ummm…i’ve had two kids and HER belly looks a heck of a lot better than mine — and i’m guessing better than a lot of other women and men out there!
maybe the people picking on that should take a closer look at themselves and what is important in life.
Most performers lip-sync while they dance around. She was a bit out of sync though. Entertainers who are not performing choreography usually sing (or rap) their songs.
I liked the way the camera barely focussed on her face to hide the fact that she was BADLY lip synching.
And that wasn’t a dance routine, it was a walking about routine.
She’s still cute though…
