Flickr: Birthday Boy and the Leaders of the CheerYesterday was my 28th birthday, and Robyn thought it would be a good idea to invite a group of friends to go to the ballpark and celebrate with us. So about 20 or so of us piled into a Party Bus outside Robyn’s office and off we went…

Did I mention this bus had a stocked free bar? An Xbox 360? A karakoe machine? A pole for dancing? No, well, 3 out of those 4 things ended up making a shy, reserved guy into a motherfucking STAR! Hell, I was all fucked up!

But first things first… We went on down to the game and it was a pretty enjoyable game, but man, people were just handing me beers left and right. What could a poor boy do? I mean I tried to take it easy, slow and steady, but I had 3 beers by the time we got there, a further 5 or so in the game and Duane was pouring out some ample measures of tequila on the way home. That’s when “teh funny™” kicked in…

Robyn’s friend Charles was doing some MCing on the way to the game, but on the way home I grabbed that stick and proceeded to rock that bitch! Sometimes in an acapella style. I even proceeded to tear a wannabe heckler to shreds, fool had no game. I should mention it was like a 10 year old kid, moot point though. Then the pole dancing started, or was it the other way around? I don’t really remember much, the adrenaline rush brought on by the rabid audience took over and that was all she wrote… I mean, I had poor Duane and Su in hysterics.

Then, as these things usually end, I passed out in the car on the way home and woke up sick as a dog this morning, the price of living fast I guess. But apparently everyone had a great time so it was well worth the weeks and months of upcoming humiliation, hell, I’d do it again in a heartbeat…

Dave and Lori have pictures up on flickr, Lori also has a small review on her blog.
