Matt Mullenweg (and many others I assume) are facing the prospect of comment spammers shifting over to trackback spam, and it’s only today I’ve discovered that I might have ballsed up my comments template a long time ago, as I don’t recieve trackbacks at all… I suppose it’s an effective counter-measure…

Neil Turner turns up with a hilarious waste of time with his Random Harry Potter Book Title Generator

Some of the ones I came across were:

  • Harry Potter and the Dementor of King’s Cross Station
  • Harry Potter and the Book of Doom
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Stone
  • Harry Potter and the Muggle of Luton
  • Harry Potter and the Writer of Ashby-de-la-Zouch
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (hehe)
  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s iPod

Ashlee Simpson was booed at the conclusion of her performance during the halftime show at the FedEx Orange Bowl between the Oklahoma Sooners and the USC Trojans. “Ironically, Simpson chose not to use a background track (used by most artists in large-scale, live events). However, choosing to sing live didn’t work out for Ashlee in the end. A very obvious chorus of boos could be heard throughout the Orange Bowl in Miami as the fireworks erupted, and Simpson’s song came to an end Tuesday night.”

It’s that time of year again… “The Bloggies” shadow looms large over the weblog community, not unlike the all seeing eye of Sauron, constantly watching, judging.

And now they’re back for 2005, so it’s time to start begging like a homeless man at christmas time…

I’m not expecting anything, but a nomination or two (Best British or Irish Weblog, Best American Weblog (I can go for both right??) and Best-Kept-Secret Weblog) would be nice.

Well, a guy can dream…

Happy New Year everyone, the peach has finally dropped…

Hope you’re having a good one and looking forward to a prosperous 2005 (weird writing that, must get used to it).
